Each HTTP request to any Derapi endpoint counts as one API call, regardless of the size of the response. Requests that return an error (4xx or 5xx) from your side do not count against your quota.
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. There's no penalty for switching.
On Builder and Production plans, overages are charged automatically at the plan's overage rate (Builder: $1.20/1K; Production: $0.50/1K). On Sandbox, requests are rate-limited once you hit 5,000 calls. We send email alerts at 80% and 100% of your monthly quota.
