1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Derapi API platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.

2. API License

Subject to these terms, Derapi grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Derapi API for the purpose of building and operating software applications that interact with distributed energy resource hardware.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) use the API in any way that violates applicable law; (b) attempt to reverse-engineer the API or circumvent rate limits; (c) use the API to build a competing API integration service; (d) exceed usage quotas specified in your API agreement.

4. Credential Vault

When you store device vendor credentials in the Derapi credential vault, you represent that you have the right to authorize Derapi to store and use these credentials on your behalf for the purpose of making API requests to the relevant device vendor.

5. Service Availability

Derapi targets 99.9% API uptime but does not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated in advance.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Derapi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the API platform.
